About The Poet's Rest

Heretofore The Poet’s Rest was known and run as a pub with eatery however 2008 sees a loving conversion from a pub to a superb restaurant. Opened in February The Poet’s Rest is offering a tentative and friendly service with an informal but elegant style. Food is a selection of modern Irish and International cooking, with locally sourced and wherever possible organic produce.

Private Dining

The upper floor is dedicated to private Dining and Parties.  Two options are available to groups: the first is a private room accommodating 30 guests whilst the second is a balcony overlooking the main dining room which can also cater for 30 guests in a semi-private way.  Naturally, either of these rooms can also be used for business meetings and conferences.

Our culinary ethos is to serve quality produce, simply but perfectly prepared in elegant surroundings. We use classically influenced cooking methods and we believe in allowing ingredients to speak for themselves.
